ArtsWestchester Currently Seeks Young Applicants for Young Adult Leadership Council

 

White Plains, N.Y. (June  2020) ArtsWestchester seeks qualified young adults aged 16-21 with a passion for the arts to join its Young Adult Leadership Council, which will assemble from October 2020 through May 2021. The Leadership Council, made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, will engage its members to plan, evaluate, attend, promote and develop ArtsWestchester’s teen programs, including its current Teen Tuesdays & Thursdays art workshop series. Council members will also gain valuable career and college readiness skills throughout the program.

The Council will consist of 15 youth members who can serve on the Council for multiple years for a maximum of three. Participants will be required to meet twice monthly on select Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6pm. A $500 stipend will also be provided to members to cover the costs associated with transportation to ArtsWestchester.

Interested youth must submit an online application by July 15, 2020, at 11:59pm via Submittable. Additionally, an in-person or virtual interview will take place the week of August 3, 2020.
