Friends,
I want to take this opportunity to wish every one of our Constituents in Yonkers a happy and safe Fourth of July Weekend as we gather with family and friends, traveling or at home.
As you know the 4th of July is a celebration of our Independence starting from the Declaration formally issued on the 4th in 1776. Today, as we reflect on all the concerns we face, I hope many of the COVID concerns are moving behind us and that we as a people and as a Nation can move forward. We have put up with a lot in our history, but we have always been steadfast and resilient.
America is made up of many different people with varying ethnicities, cultures and religions, but always under one flag and one Constitution. So, let us be positive and celebrate all that we have achieved, while we continue to focus on what we need to do to become a better people and a better Nation.
Happy Fourth of July.
