Happy Friday Yonkerites!
I hope you and yours are continuing to stay safe, wear a mask, and social distance.
It brings me great joy to report to you that this week we were able to bring substantial relief to our local restaurants and small businesses.
First, the local law I introduced last month capping third-party delivery services at 30% of the total bill has passed providing much-needed relief and putting more money in the pockets of small business owners.
Second, Governor Cuomo announced that restaurants outside New York City can move to 75% indoor capacity, starting today, March 19th.
As the light at the end of the tunnel becomes more and more visible, and more New Yorkers get vaccinated, events are starting to open up. Please take a moment and check out what’s happening in Yonkers in the coming weeks.
